1.Terri, how did you get started in the music business?

“I was introduced to Modern Talking producer Luis Rodriguez in Hamburg and he signed me in Hamburg to the group 2 Eivissa, we hit top 20 in Netherlands, no. 1 in Spain, Italy and top ten in France, with OH LA LA LA  and entered the Billboard before I even knew what was happening.  It was kind of a whirlwind.”

2. Who or what has had the most influence on your work?

“I think watching the careers of artist like Whitney, Phyllis Hyman and the soul musicians of the 80s gave me this work ethic and my mom was very influential she was always supportive from day one. “

3. How has technology changed your work within the last 5 to 10 years?

“Well, now I deejay and travel often with a USB stick and just had to learn how manage this media instead of CDs and vinyls.  It’s quite easy to travel these days.”

4. In what direction do you see house music and electronic dance music moving?

“I think REAL is coming back. People make a lot of money copying one another but I think some respect for the vocalist and the songwriter will return, and not just grabbing a t-shirt and hitting a stage to play other people’s music without understanding the process as much.  Producing an orchestra is hard, and writing good lyrics is challenging.  We’ve got to move in that direction.  I foresee trance gaining mainstream attention again and maybe some Eurodance-ish stuff., meaning big vocals, faster tracks.”

5. What do you want our listeners and your fans to know about what is coming up for the next 6 months for you?

“Well, I have quite a bit planned in the upcoming months, first a collab again with Sean Finn, following up our current no. 1 Free, a collaboration and tour with The Weather Girls and I’m working on my soul project in a bigger format.   I love my eclectic musical life!”
